Both Velox's solution and our experience working with their team has worked out exceptionally well for us during the business continuity crisis we had to mitigate earlier this year.

We had a unique situation where we had to move out of a location that we were operating from for over 13 years, and we only had 6 weeks to do this. Though we had business continuity plans that came handy, this move was not simple given we are in the business of healthcare practice and continuity of care and patient experience is of utmost importance. Frustratingly, we realized that it was not easy to get our phone numbers and extensions to work at a new location in such short notice. We were disappointed that neither our existing telecom provider nor the others were able to understand our needs, leave alone providing a solution. Searching for a solution, we came to know about Velox network and decided to give them a call. Their CEO, Martin Nygate answered the call and patiently listened to our situation and our need. When I told him that we desperately need a solution that is operational within 3 weeks and that too in a location that we had not yet finalized, he offered a solution that is location independent and could be implemented within a week. With a hint of skepticism but with no alternate solution, we went with this. The phones were delivered to our office on the 5th day, and all that we had to do was to connect them to our wireless network, and it started working. Over the next few hours we set up the extensions, the voice mail and tested the solution by activating the call transfer from the current hunting number to Velox number. The new solution was fully operational and working as good as our old system. Over the next few days, our numbers got ported by Velox and the phones were simply ready to operate from any location.

We managed to finalize the new location a few days before the actual move date but could only move our font desk on the first day of our operation there. We went in at 7 am on that day, set up the phone lines and credit card terminals, and by 8 am we were fully operational receiving calls and patients. Looking back at this after two months of operation at the new location, we are delighted that we went with Velox networks as we (a) saved a lot of time and effort managing multiple vendors, (b) added new capabilities, yet saved on cost, and most importantly (c) we significantly minimized interruption to our patient care.
